Photos: Open House and Dedication of New Firehouse
An open house and dedication of the new station was held Saturday, May 5th, 2012. Firefighters from A.B. Shaw and surrounding companies joined dignitaries and guests to formally dedicate and open the new station. Attending fire departments joined Claverack in a ceremonial "wetdown" of the new station - a ritual celebrated by the volunteer fire service to commission new apparatus and stations by anointing it water sprayed from visting departments apparatus. Our thanks to those who attended!
